Therapy at The Traveling Psychologist is a neuroaffirming, strength-based, goal-oriented, collaborative approach. We will work together to identify your goals and develop self-awareness, systems, skills, and strategies necessary for you to achieve those goals and manage symptoms of ADHD and executive dysfunction.
You may find that you’re experiencing problems beyond ADHD. Therapy sessions can also help examine the past, look for solutions to emotional concerns, and focus on “why” certain behavior patterns occur.
You do not need a diagnosis of ADHD to benefit from this type of therapy!
What Does Therapy Look Like?
Individual vs. Group
Individual therapy allows us to spend more time on your unique needs and to create a treatment plan that is specific to you. These sessions can be done in person or virtually.
Group therapy sessions add the benefit of a cohort of ADHD peers to lend support, encouragement, and shared experiences. Sessions meet virtually for 8 weeks and extended time is provided to give everyone a chance to share and discuss. This is often a more affordable option for many.
